Zach's Thirty(something)th

To wrap up our own family bday streak, we celebrated Zach's bday on Easter.  The last time his bday was on Easter, he was in AZ for his gpa's funeral, so we didn't really have a precedent.  I'll admit he got the shaft a little bit this year because it was a double celebration.  But, c'mon.  Easter is a pretty big deal, so he should be thankful he got to share the day.  He got to sleep in . . . ish before church.  And he got to take a nap.  And we got to go on a date the night before.  It's all good.  But next time I think we'll celebrate his bday the day before.  So I remember to give him his gifts before 10 p.m.  And we actually focus on him a little bit.  Still: he got several coupons from Isaac (like dinner out to eat, family adventures, etc.)
And he got breakfast in bed:
 Eating his resurrection roll:

See?  It's empty inside.  Just like the tomb on Easter morning.  Awesome, right?
I am so thankful for Zach in my life.  His current likes: fishing with his brothers and dad in Mexico (but he likes to go in April, not February, because they catch 200 fish a day in April . . . not February.  He went in February this year.)  He also likes to watch bball and football (but not baseball) on TV.  He likes to play bball so much that he will not give it up, though he's broken 2 bones in his leg and 1 bone in his hand, gotten several sprained ankles, a sprained elbow, and a concussion while playing.  That's dedication, friends.  He likes to play softball and volleyball, too.  He does not like swimming, ironing clothes, pasta for dinner, or hiking (though he pretends to to keep me happy.  Thanks, hhbl.)  Happy birthday, Zach!
