Where Does the Time Go?

10 years ago, I brought this little girl into the world.  She was just as small as she looks.  4 lbs. 12 oz. and 16 1/2 inches long.  Little Lucy.

Just a few months later, she was chubbed out and as cute as can be.

What a girl!  She's taught me so much about life, love, and laughing.  The day she was born, so was this mother.  I love you, Lucy!  Happy Birthday.

  Lucy was the clear winner.  Looks more like a grimace than a smile.  She said it hurt:

Our first annual Fesler family Olympics were a success!  Fun was had by all.



Growth Spurt

This little guy hardly eats anything for weeks and weeks.  And then all of a sudden, he's starving for a week or so and he grows like 3 inches in 2 days.  He'll eat anything right now.  Like today for lunch, he had a peanut butter and jelly and raisin sandwich.  He actually tasted a piece of chicken (baby steps, people) and it is rumored that he ate a pea.  I love growth spurt time.

 

**Note: This picture is not indicative of his pickiness.  He will, in fact, eat as many bananas as I will let him at any time.  But if I went running for the camera when he was eating a food he usually refuses, he would probably realize what he was doing and stop eating said food.

South Dakota: A Brilliant Birthday Celebration

I gotta be honest.  It wasn't until our midnight drive home from Sioux Falls after our sibling/spouse quintuplet date to see "Inception" that I had the decency to remind Zach that it was my birthday the next day.  I was going to wait to see if he remembered on his own, but I decided not to be cruel to either of us.  So I was treated to this:

 Good times.  Good day.  Good hubby.  Good kids.  Good family.  Good life.  Looking forward to the next year.  Happy Birthday to me.  2 months later.

South Dakota: Week 2

A picnic and wagon rides with friends, a sibling and spouse date night, a brilliant birthday celebration, the FesFam reunion, including the family Olympics, minute-to-win-it, a live clue game, the annual talent show, a 40th wedding anniversary celebration, dancing under the stars, jumping in the pool with all your clothes on (another annual event), a drive through the flooded prairie down to Omaha, a beautiful temple sealing and wedding reception, lots of family time, and the drive back to Utah.

Whew!  It was a busy week.  It makes me tired just thinking of it.  It also reminds me of the fantabulous time we had there.  There's nothing better than a little R and R in SD.

Seriously, is there anything on Etsy that isn't adorable?  (With the possible exception of the life-size Edward-the-Vampire shadow my sister found while browsing.  You can put on your wall to feel like he's always watching over you.  That is seriously creepy.  But pretty funny to use as a white elephant, which is what my sis was looking for.)  But . . . I digress.  From what, you ask?
