During our continental breakfast, a man told me that my children were extremely well behaved. I didn't bother to tell him it was because we had pushed them past the point of exhaustion and no one had any energy to make any ruckuses. Isaac did, however, have enough energy to eat 11 pieces of bacon. But I digress. After checking out of the hotel, we drove back to Snow Canyon for a short hike to the lava tubes. Zach took the older 3 (as well as 3 kids of a lady from San Diego who was too claustrophobic to take them in herself) down one of the tubes with head lamps.
They had a blast, though the lady at the top was a little panicked about how long they were taking, and how much further would they go, did I think? and surely it was too dark down there for them to see anything, so they would be back soon, right?
Rest assured, everyone made it back up in one piece.
