 Tis birthday season for the extended fam (as in March 4, 5, 25, 31, April 2, 4, 5, 8, 23)--and that's just the locals, so we had cupcakes and sherbet for dessert at Sunday dinner and called it good.  Since we were celebrating on April Fool's Day, we made some awesome mashed potatoes and gravy cupcakes:

We didn't get a picture of it, but we got him a telescope for his "big" gift.  He's been really into space stuff lately, so it was a big hit.  Now if only we could have a clear night so he could use it.

Happy 9th birthday, Kye!  We love you.  Some of his favorite things: space and planets, organizing (but not playing) Pokemon cards, Wii and more Wii, reading, teasing his brothers, playing basketball and baseball, and wrestling with Zach.  Some of his least favorite things: practicing piano and going to lessons, cleaning (but he does it anyway, and with a good attitude!), entertaining Eli (he's hard to entertain), and hiking.
