Ta-dah!
(I was going to post pics with this, but can't find my camera cord. Just use your imagination.)
10) My Mother’s Day twee. Is it a twig or is it a tree? Nobody knows, so Zach dubbed it our “twee.” I bought the twee and the plants. Zach dug the hole. Happy Mother’s Day to me!
9) Isaac (after searching fruitlessly for the prize he got from the dentist): Mom, can we go back to the dentist? I wost my minja.
8) Junk vs. healthy. Ever since Kye went on a fieldtrip to Albertsons, and learned the difference between healthy food and junk food, our kids have taken to classifying everything using these words. Kye asked, “Mom is walking healthy for your body, or junky?” “TV is junky for your brain, huh mom?” Then says Isaac, “Mom, I did something junk. I knocking off a decoration and bwoke it.”
7) Lucy: I would never want to be a slave in my whole life.
Kye: I want to be a slave of my mom and dad.
(That’s right, Kye--I knew you were a genius.)
6) “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK! I’m having a flip flop emergency!” Courtesy of Kye. (Do you remember what flip flops USED to be called? Could you imagine THAT being yelled across a park for all and sundry to hear?)
5-Sickness pervades the household, and I hear about it. “Mommmmm, I feel siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!” “Mom, my head is falling apart.” “Mom, my tummy hurts again.” “Mom, I’ve got another growing pain.” “Mom, the tip of my pinky hurts when I poke it like this approximately every 14 seconds throughout the day.” That’s the nature of the human body, folks. Sometimes it hurts, and that is OKAY!
4-Isaac’s current obsession with Calvin and Hobbes. Should I be worried about this? Should I be worried that the terror, Calvin, has been calling to his own? Because I am. I AM worried that Isaac’s little inner hellion has developed—I’m pretty sure he’s storing ideas for future use.
3) Adam’s advancement in all things baby. Though I’ve been a little worried about his development since birth, he’s now taken off, and actually had a good 2 week stretch that he wasn’t sick. He’s scooting, pushing himself up to a sitting position, eating cheerios like a pro, and now he’s starting to crawl—with a “thump, smack, thump, smack, THUD” every time his hands and knees (and sometimes head) hit the floor.
2) Kye, while reading scriptures, “And it came to pass, tweevel years had passed away.”
1) Summer vacation started!! I love having Lucy home all day—changing up the routine a bit, and having family come visit. My brothers Micah and Jacob made the drive and we had a blast. We hit up Temple Square, The Dinosaur Museum, the pool, and played lots of games. Thanks for coming guys! We miss you.
