Back to the highly anticipated second episode of this month's top ten.
5--Second grade soap opera day 2:
L: This morning we were talking about what we wanted to be when we grow up and Conner said he wanted to be a teacher and an explorer. Then he said, “When I grow up, I’m going to be Mr. R. and SHE (pointing at me!!) is going to be Mrs. R.” Mrs. J laughed so hard. It was sooooo embarrassing.
4--I: I don’t want grumbled egg.
D: Do you mean scrambled egg?
I: Yeah, I don’t want scrumbled egg. I want a fwat egg.
3--Second grade soap opera, day 3—
L: Brynlie asked Conner why he likes me.
M: What did he say?
L: He said I have a cute sense of humor.
2--Isaac the blamer. He blames for everything. Specifically, he blames ME for everything. “Mom, you just made my sandwich fall.” “Mom, you just made me hurt my arm.” “Mom, you just made my pinkie toe get caught under the door, even though you are 20 feet away, behind 2 closed doors, and talking on the phone while putting on your shoes.” It almost ties with his “deafness on demand” ability.
1--K:(walking in the door from school) “MOM! You cut your hair!”
M: Yep! Do you like it?
K: Not really . . . . I think it’s the worst thing I ever saw.
Later: After telling Z the funny story, Z said, "Kye, Kye, Kye. You NEVER say that to a woman. If she asks you if you like her haircut, you ALWAYS say, ‘Wow! I really like it. It looks cute.” (Would it surprise you to know that is EXACTLY what Z said 10 minutes earlier when he saw my hair? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.)

Well now I must the haircut. I'm interested to see if it is "the worst thing ever". Also, inform Z that when he teaches his sons these things, they shouldn't be within your hearing. I mean, I like to think that all my hubby's compliments are sincere (though lets be honest, he's brutally honest and if he doesn't like something he says "hmmm, it looks fine" that really means "ugh, that's awful! are you completely blind woman!" and no, i never put words in his mouth...)
You are so good at capturing the details of all things said and done by your kids! It amazes me. I can totally see each one of your kids doing/say every single one of those. They are so fun! :o)
holy cow...kye is hilarious. and i love the drama. so funny. she is going to love that you wrote this down. love ya!
