As per requested by one faithful friend, here is the butter recipe. (Though I'm not sure it qualifies as a recipe because it only has one ingredient.) So, instead, let's say here are the instructions for making butter:
Take 1 pt. of whipping cream. Put it in a quart jar. Shake it.
That's it, folks. You have to keep it moving for about 30-45 minutes, so we took turns shaking it. We had the kids turn on some dance music and they shook it while they danced. About 40 minutes later, there was a lump of butter in the bottom of the jar, surrounded by bluish looking buttermilk. Zach dumped out the buttermilk, fished out the butter and put it into a nice serving dish. He added just a little salt to give it flavor. We used it on our fresh rolls and it was fabulous.
