And, FINALLY . . .

Top Ten--March 2010

10—K: Do you think I’ll do more good or less good in the program?
M: Uh, more good.
K: Like 25 times more good or never-ending more good?
M: Oh! Definitely never-ending more good.
K: Thanks, mom. You’re the best.

9— Soooooooo, I’m wondering . . . is there an innate human need for preschool children (ahem, Isaac) to roll around on the floor in their blankets 20 times a day? Seriously, if I trip over that kid one more time . . .

8—K: Mom, I was diddle-daddling on the way home.
Question to self—where did Kye hear the term “diddle-daddle?” Cause I’m pretty sure I’ve never used it. Perhaps he was thinking of “dilly-dally,” which I’m pretty sure I’ve never used either. Must be from a book.

7—Oh, spring weather, why do you tease me so? Why do you come in warm, enticing spurts and then dash all my springly hopes with snow? In the words of Anne (Shirley) Blythe, “Snow in (spring) is an abomination. It’s like a slap in the face when you expected a kiss.” I hear you clucking, Anne.

6—Isaac: It’s nice to have a mom that’s always nice to you, like when no one else wants to play a game with you and she asks you to play a game with her.

What else are mothers for, Zeeky-boy?

5—M: Kye, would you please get Adam a few crackers?
K: Argh! Work, work, WORK!

4—A: Kye, dat’s a big no-NO! Don’t push my brudduh.

3—M: Kye, what are you doing? (As he ran outside before school, spinning around, with his face lifted to the snow-filled skies.)
K: I’m trying to get a piece of snow up my nose.

Of course you are!

2—M (noting daughter’s dejected expression after family scripture study): What’s wrong, Lu?
L: I miss President Hinckley.
M: Ummmmmmmmm, Lucy? He’s been dead for 2 years now.
L: I know. It’s just that when we were reading
Helaman 3:30, I thought of him. (*sigh*)

1—I got a day off. Did you get that? A. DAY. OFF. It was wonderful. In lieu of a weekend to Costa Rica that didn’t work out, Zach gave me a day all to myself. I went shopping, went out to lunch with friends, got some errands done, went to the library, came home to a clean house and then got to go on a date with Zach. It was very refreshing. I can highly recommend it. Thanks, hhbl.

I feel ya Lucy! I miss Pres. Hinckley too!

Every woman should get a day-off. It helps to fill that bucket or whatever you want to call!

I love your top tens. They are the best!
