The Larson Cafe opened at 8:30 on July 4th for business. We ate on the beautifully shaded front porch, while being served breakfast by our children. Yes. . . I said our CHILDREN served us breakfast (after first undergoing a little waiter-training from Uncle Ben.) Kye lasted approximately 3 minutes and then decided he was too hungry to serve. He wasted away until served by Lucy after an excruciating 5 minute wait. How DID he survive?
Zach and I ordered a little bit of everything, so we ate bacon, eggs, sausage, German pancakes with a caramel-banana sauce, watermelon, orange juice and some Shirley's cinnamon rolls. Can you say YUM!?
After a run to the store, we suited up for a refreshing swim at the DT pool at BYU. Here's Kye's request for his pose.
Lucy was dying to try floaties b/c the others were wearing them. Though she felt they were a convenience, she enjoyed floating on Sarah's blown up orca more.
The kids begged to go off the diving board, but Isaac needed a little help to actually take the plunge.
As soon as it got dark, we headed to our neighbor's annual July 4th bash, the "Cove of Chaos." (Not an exaggerated assessment, I assure you.) Lucy and Kye loved watching all the fireworks.
Isaac loved WATCHING the fireworks. As to listening to them, see the above picture.
