Zeeky Boy's Big Day

A few days before Isaac's birthday, he told me, "Mom.  For my birthday, I want breakfast in bed.  I would like an egg, some toast, hot chocolate, and a smoothie with a strawberry on the side."  As you can see, we delivered.  This little guy is one who knows exactly what he wants in life (or at least exactly what he wants to eat).

Isaac came upstairs and had breakfast in our bed:
I know what these pictures are.  I took these pictures.  And yet, when I glanced at the above one, I thought, "Wait.  How is Kye smaller than Isaac in this picture?  And then I realized that it was Adam, not Kye, in the picture.  That was weird.  Understandable, but weird.
Reading his birthday card:
Must have been good, because Adam is making his, "WHAT!?!?!?  That's not fair.  I want one." face:
 Mom and Isaac:

The local fam came over for dessert and gifts.
Isaac and Justin:
 Brothas:

In lieu of friend parties on odd birthdays, Zach and I take the birthday kid out for a special date.  We took Isaac out to Red Robin (his choice) for dinner, and then to see "Tall Tales" at the the Scera Theater (also his choice.)  I told you that kid knows what he wants.

Isaac's Holiday Concert

On the last day of school before Christmas vacation, Isaac's class gave us a concert full of songs from Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Christmas.  It was purely delightful (except for the little boy who sobbed through it all because no one came to watch him sing.  Seriously made me cry for the little guy.)

After the program, Isaac and I went up to the little boy and I asked if he would like to take a picture with Isaac of the crafts they had made.  He looked up at me in disbelief.  "No, I don't want my picture taken!  I'm really upset right now."  Righty-oh, then.  After I turned my laugh into a cough, Isaac posed for a picture with his good friend, Spencer.
Gotta love it.
